The Federation is an independent global Islamic scout organization that includes in its membership scout bodies and associations that represent Muslim scouts around the world. It also includes official Islamic scout teams in non-Muslim countries in: the Americas, Europe, Australia, Africa and Asia. And supervises ten million Muslim scouts in the world.

The Federation is chaired by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdullah Omar Nassif, Secretary General of the Federation, Dr. Zuhair Hussein Ghoneim.
International Federation of Muslim Scouts
1- Member of the World Scout Organization: (a member of the United Nations) according to its recognition of the Federation at the 33rd World Scout Conference held in Thailand in 1993.
2- A member of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, according to the recognition of the conferees of Their Majesties, Excellencies, Sovereigns and Highnesses, Kings, Presidents and Emirs of Islamic countries at their Seventh Islamic Conference in Casablanca, Kingdom of Morocco in December 1994 AD.
3- The recognition of the Federation by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its hosting under the kind approval No.: 9/B/14886 dated 9/17/1420 AH.
4- A member of the International Islamic Council for Call and Relief, according to its conference held in Cairo in 1416 AH.
5- Member of the International Assembly of Islamic Youth.
– In September 1987 AD, Cairo hosted the fourth Islamic Scout meeting, which was held in Al-Azhar University camp, in which the Arab Scout Bureau proposed the establishment of the World Federation of Muslim Scouts.
– In August 1989, the Third Islamic Scout Conference and the Fifth Islamic Scout Forum were held in Amman, in which the establishment of the World Federation of Muslim Scouts was announced. Then the founding regulations of the union were adopted at the Fourth Islamic Scout Conference held in Pakistan in August 1992 AD, and in the same year the union was recognized By the World Scout Organization, and the recognition decision was issued at the 33rd World Scout Conference in Thailand in 1993.
In line with the requirements of the scouting movement in the Islamic world and the need for a scout umbrella to serve Muslim scouts all over the world, and in response to the recommendations of the Conference of Their Majesties, Excellencies and Sovereigns, Kings, Presidents and Emirs of Islamic countries of the need to hold meetings and conferences for Muslim youth from all over the world.
The idea of establishing the federation was launched from the Third Islamic Summit Conference when the Kings, Presidents and Emirs of Islamic countries, which was held in Taif, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1981, recommended the need to pay attention to the youth and scouting movement, and in response to that recommendation and at the invitation of the Qatari Scout Association, the first Islamic Scout Conference and the first Islamic Scout Forum were held in Qatar in January 1982 AD, on the sidelines of the Fourteenth Arab Scout Camp.
* On the sidelines of the fifteenth Arab Scout camp in Libya, the second Islamic Scout Conference and the second Islamic Scout Forum were held in September 1983.
* On the sidelines of the Sixteenth Arab Scout Camp in Algeria, the third Islamic Scout Forum was held in August 1984. In the same year, the Arab Scout Committee, in its session No. (57), decided the necessity of separating the Islamic Scout meetings from the Arab Scout camps.
* In September 1987 AD, Cairo hosted the fourth Islamic Scout meeting, which was held in Al-Azhar University camp, during which the Arab Scout Bureau proposed the establishment of the World Federation of Muslim Scouts.

After that, the federation took its official status and was recognized by the World Scout Committee at the 33rd World Scout Conference held in Bangkok, Thailand 1993, and then at the Seventh Islamic Summit Conference in Casablanca, Kingdom of Morocco, December 1994. It was recognized by all of the conferees, Their Majesties and Excellencies. Sovereignty and highness are kings, presidents and princes of Islamic countries.
This federation was established to translate its lofty goals on the foundations of love, brotherhood and peace among the Islamic peoples, and carries with it what the true Islamic religion calls for in terms of good morals and virtues within the framework of the World Scout Movement.

Introducing Islam to non-Muslim leaders and scouts.
– Developing scouting educational curricula that contribute to the spiritual building of the personality of Muslim youth.
– Spreading and developing the Islamic Scout Movement in the world.
– Teaching Muslim scouts the correct matters of their religion.
Introducing non-Muslim scouts to Islam.
Encouraging and coordinating social and humanitarian activities.
Relief work within the federation or in cooperation with similar non-scout organizations.
The message of the International Federation of Muslim Scouts is to contribute to the education of Muslim youth in ideal ways based on what our true Islamic religion, promise and law contain in the scout movement of ideals and higher principles in order to help young people build a better world, where humanity is looking for it to meet its necessary personal needs, and the message of the union also contributes To play a constructive role in society and to find developed, complete and ideal solutions that make members of society a responsible and reliable citizen in this world.
1- Providing valuable religious standards for the scout movement through the following programmes: Selecting and training scout leaders based on the true concept of the true Islamic teachings and the scout movement meeting the desires of young people. ! Integrating religious values and teachings with the concept of scouting in all activities and programs practiced by Muslim scouts and strengthening their sincere belief in God and their commitment to Islamic teachings. ! Helping Muslim scouts around the world to perform Hajj and Umrah.
2- That peace prevail in all parts of the world and that the scout movement work for a better world under the umbrella of one world, one promise and one law.
3- Finding and encouraging cooperation between Muslim scouts and non-Muslim scouts.
4- Work to create a female guide movement that works under the umbrella of the International Federation of Muslim Scouts.
5- Playing a constructive and positive role in society in order to improve and develop citizen responsibility and provide the best services to the world for a better world.
