Secretary of the “International Federation of Scouts”: We are not missionaries of religions .. We are “messengers of peace”

The Secretary-General of the International Federation of Muslim Scouts, Dr. Zuhair Ghoneim, described the scouting movement as “global”, as part of the activities of the academic dialogue table organized by the Faculty of Economics and Administration at King Abdulaziz University. He explained that the number of scouts around the world is 22 million, including 10 million Muslims, and they reach today according to the latest census 40 million, including 18 million Muslim scouts.

He stated that the Scout Organization spans 112 years, and is today considered one of the oldest and most representative organizations in the world.

He explained the role played by scouts in refining experiences and creating leaders in the world, as a number of heads of state and a number of officials and ministers were involved in them at the beginning of their lives.

And he clarified the hierarchy in the names of the scouts, which starts from the stage of buds, passing through the boys, and ending with the mobile phone until the stage of the pioneers, considering the scouts a science that cultivates a number of qualities and values in the souls of scouts, such as leadership, facing the crowd, planning, respecting time and sincerity in work.

He considered what is happening in education recently from the development of new types of the method of education, such as teaching groups, as one of the training methods that a scout learns, practices, and works with as soon as he engages in scouting work.
